READ THE EXCERPT

My release date was temporarily delayed due to family health related setbacks but now things have settled and I’m ready to go. I’m SO excited to announce that the holiday read will be available next week!

In the meantime, I’ve decided to hold a very awesome contest for this book release! SEOULFUL KISS is important to me on many levels. It marks the first book set in Seoul, Korea and the international setting is one I’ve always wanted to write about. I hope I’ll be able to pull you into Rissa and Min’s sweet love story so you can experience the exotic city firsthand. I can honestly say it was a lot of fun writing the characters and taking them on a whirlwind adventure through the streets of Seoul to Namsan Tower, onto Namdaemun outdoor market, and all the way to Hongdae arts district. There is so much of Seoul that is breathtaking, but this particular story will only show a few of my favorite spots to complete the romantic winter theme.

Here’s a secret…there’s a character I’ve mentioned in the book that will actually have their own love story. I’m currently working on the single title romance for my sexy series. Unlike this sweet tale, there’s a darker and edgier contemporary world I’ve weaved especially for her. It’s nothing like I’ve ever written before so I hope my readers will enjoy the new direction I’m going. Hopefully I’ll be able to drop some more hints about this series in the coming months…

Now for the contest…

I’m giving away a fabulous holiday gift box which will include some very stylish prizes (my personal favorites) for our US residence. If an international winner is chosen, you’ll be eligible for an eBook copy of SEOULFUL KISS and a $25 gift card from either Amazon, B&N, or another venue that you may like better.

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s in the gift box…

  • Juicy Couture mousepad and mouse
  • Fancy letter opener
  • Chocolates
  • Cute Asian knick knacks
  • $10 gift card to Amazon or B&N
  • …and some other cool stuff I hope you’ll enjoy

All you need to do is tell me what what your “first kiss” was like…was it everything you thought it would be or was it something you’d rather bury deep in the dark recesses of never-neverland?

A winner will be chosen at random and announced on DECEMBER 21st…I know, it’s rumored to be the end of the world, but wouldn’t you want to know that you’ve won a super cool prize? Good Luck!

I look forward to reading your comments!

My first kiss was very quick ( a peck on the lips), but it was with a boy I liked very much. We were watching a movie at his house ( it was putting me to sleep) and after we went outside. We kept running form the front to the back of the house where no one could see us. Finally, we kissed in the front yard and it was nice. He was one of those “nice” boys, but after dating a bit we ended as friends. The kiss was not like turning, but pleasant. We actually met again on Facebook and he has a lovely wife and his family is well. He had the nicest mother. Very innocent and sweet. A nice first experience.

That sounds like a sweet memory, Allison! Everything seemed to work out which is nice to hear.

My first kiss was with the new transfer student who was a total “bad boy” of the 10th grade. Yes, I was a late bloomer. He was blond, blue eyed, and knew several foreign languages. Total swoon-worthy. We were sitting in his truck after school and had plans to grab a bite to eat. I suppose we were just chatting away when he suddenly leaned in and planted a kiss on me. I hadn’t expected it, and since I’d never been kissed before…that was the most memorable moment in my life. A defining moment! Sadly, he moved away junior year and I was left with a broken heart. First teen crushes & romances are the best!

My first kiss was when I was 17. It was suuuuuuper awkward. I think we bumped teeth a few times >_<

My first kiss? I don’t even remember, it must have been so bad!I do however remember my first kiss with my now husband. We’d been talking online for a few months and had just met in person. I was shy, and insecure about myself, but he leaned in and kissed me. It was a very nice, sweet kiss, and I haven’t stopped kissing him after 14 years!

  • Jax

Woohoo, Erica! Sounds like your hubby wiped out that first kiss. Good for you for being married for 14 years! That is truly wonderful.

My first kiss seems like a life time ago. I remember it being the best feeling. A warm and calming feeling deep inside. I was worried that my braces and his braces would lock together. Luckly, they didn’t. I think it was even on the school bus. It was quick so none one would see and right as I was getting up to get off. I was only in 5th grade but I still remember it. Ah, to be that young again and relive some of those moments.

  • Jax

@Linda–just a peck? So innocent and cute!

@Donna–I’m with you on reliving those moments. As a kid I always wondered about two people having braces who tried to kiss. I eventually did hear something in middle school that braces can lock up… I thought that was total fiction 😛

My first kiss was with my best friend. We started hanging out a lot and he kissed me all of a sudden while on my couch. I was surprised and even asked what was happening. We talked about whether we wanted to risk our friendship if things didn’t work out and we promised we would remain friends no matter what. He ended up being my first love and we are still friends even though we are no longer together.

My first kiss was very fast and chaste. On the front step of my house under the porch light, dad at door and other couple in the car waiting on my date. 😉

Hmmm.. my first kiss. Not a good one. Heh. I was 13 years old, and it was with a boy who lived down the street from my dad. I remember my younger sister liked to tag along, so we came up with a ruse to get her away for a few moments and that’s when he made his move. Oy. *Cue the Not Impressed Look* I was really bummed that people got excited over THIS! Blech. His technique.. was, well, I suppose he tried to imitate a snake. I told an older girlfriend from school and I distinctly remember her falling over laughing, telling me it gets much better!

  • Jax

Although my first kiss isn’t like yours Phuong, I’ve had a similar experience 😛

@Kimberley — That must have been awkward but fun to think about now!

@Readsalot81 — I laughed at your recollection. I bet it was a disappointment but your friend is right, it does get much better 🙂

I can remember my first kiss like it was yesterday even though it was 14 years ago LOL it was with a neighbor boy that I had a huge crush on but we had been really good friends for years and it just wasn’t gonna be anything but best friends (which we still are today) but a group of us had gotten together and decided to play truth or dare and one of my friends who knew I was crushing hard dared him to kiss me and without even hesitating he layed one on me and it was much more than just a peck on the lips…it was all I though it would be with him, it was magical and I still think about it from time to time even though we are both married and have little ones it’s a kiss I think we will never forget! Thanks for the fantastic giveaway 🙂

🙄 It was very awkward and in high school against the lockers. He had braces and a head set….nuff said? lol

I was a VERY late bloomer. I was 30 yrs old. I had been dating my future husband for about a month. He knew I’d never kissed anyone and didn’t pressure me. We had just gone to the movies and we were sitting in the parking lot in the car and he reached into the back seat and pulled out a framed poem he’d written me. He read it to me and the last line was “I love you”. He then asked if he could kiss me. It was very sweet. We ended up getting married later on that year. So he is the only boy I’ve ever kissed! And I’m glad I waited!

My first kiss. I was a freshman in High School. I was working a haunted house with the dad. The local Kiwans club put on the the Haunted House. I had to work and local high school kids volunteered to work. That’s when I met Brian Cunningham. He was high school jock and captain of the football team. We were working together in a very tight area to scare people. We both had braces and when we kissed his braces cut my lip. I was instantly in love. I learned how to french kiss in a haunted house. On Monday when I went to school I found out he had a girlfriend. I was crushed. The weird part is her name was Bonnie also. It was a great weekend for geeky freshman.
