Dear Friends & Readers:
It’s sweet November and I’m looking forward to this time of year. The winter months carries with it a romantic feel that seems to warm the soul. I love bundling up, slipping into those comfy boots, and sipping Mocha Mint lattes while I read. But this winter is not a time for rest and relaxation…I’ve got a lot of writing to catch up on and a lot of submissions to send out in early 2011. Gosh, I can’t believe how fast 2010 has flown by–but it’s not over yet! This month I’ve decided to join NaNoWriMo. What the heck is it? It’s an annual November event in which that challenges all writers, amateur and professional, to complete an entire book of at least 50,000 words. There’s so many great things available to boost the morale and get you writing so visit their site to participate! NaNoWriMo has become such a huge success that people from all walks of life have joined in on the fun. This is my official first year (yes, NaNo virgin here) and I can say, it’s a great writing motivator! I’ve produced more in a few short days than I have in MONTHS. Seriously.
Now that the writing muse has returned, I’m feeling quite accomplished. I’m nearing the end of my big paranormal project…sniff…then I’m jumping right into writing the book for NaNo. I’ll be scarce this month but know that it’s only because I’m excited to get some new books out there for my readers.
This month, I’m also joining forces with awesome authors from my local chapter for a multi-author signing bonanza! Proceeds of the event will go to the local Adult Literacy League. It’s such a wonderful cause and I hope everyone in the Orlando area will show up at the Altamonte Mall on Saturday, November 6th. The first 100 folks will get an awesome gift bag of goodies. I’m looking forward to the event. For more details, you’ll see the links and details under the APPEARANCES portion of the sidebar.
Wishing you a productive, happy, and healthy holiday season filled with love, laughter, and passion! Stay safe.
